Shelby Surratt – Executive Director & Co- Founder
Shelby has a passion for educating. In 2006, Shelby graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with her BA in Elementary Education, specializing in Mathematics. After teaching middle school math for 10 years Shelby decided to redirect her focus into helping others through real estate after a close family member was denied disability benefits for his autism disability because he was deemed physically and mentally capable of performing remedial work; although he lacked the critical thinking and social skills required to achieve a professional career. With the price of housing skyrocketing, it became clear that the majority of these challenged individuals would never achieve their dreams of being able to provide a home for themselves and their family and thus Shelby’s drive to create Dream Gap Foundation.
